Design London Shoreditch, organised by Media 10, is a curated series of exhibitions. The event brings together leading and emerging designers, brands, and creatives within some of East London’s most architecturally distinctive venues.
Whitespace XPO was appointed to deliver the CORE infrastructure and feature build elements across multiple sites, balancing design sensitivity with technical delivery in a series of unique, character-led spaces.
Open-Plan Exhibitor Solutions
A key challenge was to create clearly defined exhibitor stands without interrupting sightlines or detracting from the architectural features of the venues. Using the oversized FabraMax modular system, we developed an open-frame ‘shell’ concept that provided structure, stand identity, and branding opportunities while maintaining a light, unobtrusive aesthetic.
Electrical Infrastructure in Heritage Spaces
Working within venues with limited existing infrastructure, we designed and delivered a secondary electrical installation tailored to exhibitor requirements. Careful planning of cable routes and load distribution ensured a safe, reliable power supply, while preserving the integrity and visual appeal of the historic interiors.
Bespoke Feature Build – Lois O’Hara Collaboration
In collaboration with artist Lois O’Hara, we translated a non-technical render for a sponsored coffee bar into a fully realised, buildable design. By developing detailed working drawings and maintaining fidelity to the original creative vision, we successfully delivered a striking, functional installation on site, on time and within budget.
